A Note from The Kendrick Family.....

Forward to 2014......Dad's been gone now three years. Not a day goes by that we don't miss him! This blog was created to update you about his sickness, then his death, but now with our tribute to him. For 18 months we have been capturing and digitally recording our emotions and sincere desire to honor Dad. Yes, he has gone on the be with Jesus, but his love of music lives on in his family.

Beulah Land

Today at 12:05AM we lost and Heaven gained a wonderful man of God. Dad caught a glimpse of Heaven and there was nothing to hold him here. We are thankful for such a man sent from God to be a Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Friend, Pastor and Mentor to all of us left behind. Today we mourn but Heaven rejoices. We thank all of you for the prayers and support you have shown to the Kendrick family and the Gospel Lighthouse church during the past year and a half. We will update sometime later today as to when the funeral will be~

  1. I love you, Jason, Jonathan, Jana & Jennifer and my Aunt Linda. You have all been in my continued thoughts & prayers. I am comforted knowing that Uncle Randy is not knowing any more pain. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you.

  3. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all the family. He has fought a good fight and kept the faith. For this we rejoice, but for the family, church, and ourselves we mourn. We pray that God wraps his loving arms of peace around each of you.

  6. Jana, Your Dad will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. He has fought a good fight, he has finished his course, and he has kept the faith. We look forward to meeting him again as we continue to strive to enter in at that same strait gate.

Our prayers are with you, Sister Kendrick, Jason, Jonathan, Jennifer and all of your families. We are also lifting up the Gospel Lighthouse church family who has lost a great Pastor.

    With love and many prayers,

  7. My heart is sad for the family, the church and all the people who will no longer be a part of Randy's wonderful life. He was one special man and will be greatly missed. He has left us with an example of Godliness and friendship that have encouraged me through the years. Yes, heaven is rejoicing but life here will be a little dimmer without this great man of God.

  9. To all my wonderful and loving cousins I want you to know that I love you all very much. Aunt Linda, you are what everyone strives to be- That beacon of shining light and hope. I am sorry to hear about Uncle Randy, but I am glad that I was able to talk to him before he passed. Even though I was not able to see you all every day, you are always in my heart and thanks. God took a very special and outstanding man that cannot be replaced. I will keep all of you in my prayers in this time of mourning. I love you all! May God bless you all in this time of need and give you peace within.

  11. May God continue to guide you as a family just as He has guided the Elder home. What a heritage you have been given from this Apostolic man.

May God favor Gospel Lighthouse with a great Pastor. They have truly been blessed to have Bro. Kendrick be their shepherd.

Wherefore seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses...

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

  14. Sister Kendrick, family, and the Gospel Lighthouse, we were truly saddened to hear that Pastor Kendrick has gone home to be with Jesus. May the good Lord comfort you, and wrap you in his arms during this time. It was an honor to know Pastor Kendrick during our families stay in Lompoc. There are many great memories that we will cherish. We will be holding you all up in prayer.

  15. It was just a few days ago our pastor was preaching and he quoted that verse in Job where it says..."If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come." and I felt such a witness! Uncle Randy has waited...and now has made it! We are all working towards that day when our time comes...and we shall be changed. While it is so hard to see our loved ones go, we have such wonderful peace knowing we shall see each other on the other side of Jordan! Please know that we are holding you up in prayers and thoughts. I can feel much empathy towards all the Kendrick kids....as I was in your place 5 years ago when God called my Dad home so suddenly. Uncle Randy was such a wonderful person and such a loving "family" man who loved his family and friends dearly. My dad was the same way...and so, the loss was great, but it is wonderful knowing that God put such a person in our lives, who has influenced greatly, and been such a leader both spiritually and physically by example and not word only. May God give you the comfort that ony He can and hold you up in the coming hours and days. We love you all,
